LeLang Skin Care · The founder
Entrepreneur, specialized in dermocosmetics and the brand’s formulation soul.
LeLang does not arise from a cosmetic trend.
It is born from a forest.
Elisa Avalle is the founder and CEO of LeLang Skin Care, an Italian skincare brand born in the Langhe region from the combination of formulation research, dermocosmetic knowledge, pharmacy culture, and territorial protection. She earned a Postgraduate Degree in Dermocosmetics from the Universitat de Barcelona and is the driving force behind the study and development of formulas, as well as the company’s scientific and educational voice.
She is responsible for developing cosmetic protocols, training partner pharmacists, creating scientific content for the LeLang magazine, and providing skincare consultations for clients.
The origins
The forest from which LeLang was born
Next to LeLang’s headquarters stretches the forest created and cared for over the years by Francesco Avalle, Elisa’s father.
The LeLang forest, next to the company headquarters.
Today, the forest covers about 40 hectares, but the project is ongoing: it continues to expand year after year through the acquisition of new land, planting, and protection of existing areas.
Francesco Avalle has devoted a significant part of his life to creating this ecosystem, with the goal of returning oxygen to the land, providing refuge for local wildlife, and leaving a natural space to protect for future generations. It is from this family legacy that the idea of LeLang was born.
The first core of the project takes shape through the study of the extraction and cosmetic use of Vitis vinifera, the symbolic plant of the Langhe region. From that initial research, a complete skincare brand develops, capable of combining natural active ingredients, biotechnology, and skin knowledge: the journey is detailed on the page dedicated to the brand’s sustainability.
For Elisa, the forest is not just a backdrop for brand communication. It is the origin of LeLang and, at the same time, a personal and entrepreneurial responsibility: the company’s growth must contribute to the protection and expansion of the forest, culminating in the creation of the LeLang Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity and the territory.

The training
Specialization in dermocosmetics
Postgraduate Training in Dermocosmetics — Specialization DiplomaUniversity of Barcelona · top university in Spain, QS Europe University Rankings 2026
A highly specialized university program designed according to the guidelines of the European Higher Education Area, dedicated to the study of cosmetic products: from composition to mechanisms of action, from safety to legislation, up to application criteria. The Postgraduate program allowed Elisa to deepen her knowledge in:
- the structure, functions, and types of skin;
- cosmetic ingredients and their mechanisms of action;
- the safety and legislation of cosmetic products;
- hydration and protection of the skin barrier;
- photoprotection;
- skin aging;
- pigmentation disorders;
- anti-aging and depigmenting actives;
- body and scalp cosmetics;
- the creation of dermocosmetic protocols.
The method
How LeLang formulas are created
LeLang formulations are created internally. Every new product starts from a specific cosmetic need identified by Elisa: dehydration, sensitivity, barrier disruption, loss of elasticity, imperfections, spots, oxidative stress, or visible signs of aging.
Elisa develops the initial formula framework: she studies and selects the functional actives, evaluates their synergies, defines the cosmetic result and sensory characteristics. The project is then developed together with chemical collaborators, formulators, and pharmacists working with LeLang, and she evaluates prototypes and approves the final product.
Production is entrusted to specialized Italian cosmetic laboratories, while the conception, formulation project, and product management remain within LeLang.
Philosophy
Functional cosmetics according to Elisa
The principle on which the LeLang catalog is built is functional cosmetics: starting from what the skin really needs, not from the most popular ingredient on social media.
Active ingredients chosen for their function, available documentation, and concentrations used — never in minimal amounts just for the label.
No ten-step routines: targeted products, included in simple and sustainable protocols over time.
To say what a cosmetic can do, but also what it cannot do. Information before promises.
“Skincare is a personal journey and cannot be the same for everyone. I believe in essentials: a few well-chosen products, formulas built with care and consistent use.”
Distribution
Why LeLang chose pharmacies
For Elisa, the pharmacist is a fundamental figure in dermocosmetics: a professional close to people, capable of listening and guiding them towards suitable products and protocols, far from random purchases and unreliable trends.
For this reason, LeLang invests in the training of partner pharmacists, providing insights on active ingredients, technical-educational materials, and protocols tailored to different skin needs. It is the relationship with pharmacies that transformed LeLang from a project born in the Langhe region into a recognized cosmetic brand in various parts of Italy.
