Everyone eventually reaches the point of having to face wrinkles. At LeLang, we don’t like talking about anti-ageing: ours is a pro-age philosophy — accompanying the skin on its journey, working with it and treating it to minimise the signs of ageing without erasing its expressiveness.
If you’re starting from scratch, we recommend beginning with the practical guide to men's skincare, where you’ll find the basics of a daily routine.

When to start
Many men think about anti-ageing only when the signs become obvious. But skin records everything: sun exposure, stress, too little sleep, frequent shaving and smog leave their mark, and the face often looks dull before pronounced wrinkles appear. If a greyish complexion is the first sign you notice, you’ll find a specific approach in the guide to dull skin in men.
The first signs aren’t deep wrinkles. They’re subtler details: less radiant skin, an uneven complexion, lines that appear especially when you’re tired, a more marked eye contour, and a less firm-looking face.
If, when you look in the mirror, you feel that your skin has lost its freshness, that’s already a good time to start. Anti-ageing works best when it stays close to prevention: the earlier you start, the easier it is to maintain balance over time.
How to build your routine
There are only a few steps that really matter. You need a gentle cleanser that cleans without stripping the skin — especially if your face is reactive; you’ll find everything you need in the guide on how to soothe your skin after shaving. Then, ingredients that protect against oxidative stress and support firmness and elasticity. Finally, sun protection, the most important step for preventing photoageing.
Many people think that anti-ageing means heavy products. In reality, the best results come from lightweight formulas used consistently: if you like a product and it absorbs well, you’ll actually use it.
If your skin is oily or prone to blemishes, it’s best to restore its balance first: you’ll find the strategy in the guide to a skincare routine for acne and oily men's skin.
The ingredients that matter
- Antioxidants, which counter oxidative stress, one of the main factors in premature aging;
- Peptides, useful for supporting firmness and tone;
- Hyaluronic acid, to maintain hydration and a more relaxed appearance;
- Vitamin C, when the skin looks dull or uneven.
You do not need to use them all together: consistency matters more than layering. For details on each active ingredient, see the guide to essential ingredients.
The antioxidant serum
It is the step with the best effort-to-results ratio. Ferulic + HA Serum has a lightweight texture that absorbs immediately.

It contains ferulic acid, which stabilizes vitamin C and enhances its photoprotective effect, arginine, and stabilized vitamin C to support collagen synthesis.
When it comes to arginine, precision matters, because on men’s skin it is the most useful detail: applied to the skin, it does not generically “nourish” it, but is the precursor from which the body synthesizes urea, one of the components that keep the stratum corneum hydrated. In a 2004 study, four weeks of application increased its content in the skin. On a frequently shaved face, where the barrier is stressed every two or three days, this is exactly the kind of support it needs.
It is a sensible choice especially in the morning, before sunscreen: the two products work synergistically, because filters reduce radiation while antioxidants manage the free radicals that nevertheless form.
The peptide treatment
If you are looking for something more targeted to existing signs of aging, Multipeptide Lift Formula is the central product.

Peptides are interesting because they speak a language close to that of the skin: they act as cellular signals without overloading it. The formula combines Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, which acts on expression lines by modulating muscle contraction, with Acetyl Hexapeptide-1, hyaluronic acid, and a marine exopolysaccharide that supports endogenous production.
This is the right product to make the cornerstone of your evening routine, after cleansing.
The eye contour
It is one of the first areas where signs of fatigue and loss of firmness appear. When the eye area shows signs of aging, it immediately changes the perception of the entire face.

Consistency matters more than quantity here, too. For the complete treatment, see the men's eye contour guide.
Sun protection
This is the step that, more than any other, determines your skin's quality over time. The sun is the main cause of skin aging, even when you do not feel hot or see any redness.

Apply it every morning as the final step. The lightweight texture absorbs quickly, and it is also available in a pocket-sized format for those on the go.

Sunscreen is not a summer-only product: it is the step that preserves the results achieved with the rest of your routine. Without it, the active ingredients applied in the evening work to repair damage that you continue to accumulate every day.

Frequently asked questions
At what age should a man start using anti-aging products?
The general recommendation is around age 30, when cell turnover slows and collagen production begins to decline by about 1% per year. But age isn't the useful criterion: sun protection is, and it should always have been used, along with adding an antioxidant when you notice that your complexion is less even. Starting at 25 with two products is more effective than starting at 45 with six.
Is retinol suitable for men's skin?
Yes, and it is the active ingredient with the strongest evidence for promoting cell renewal, but there is one specific factor: shaving. Retinol temporarily thins the stratum corneum and makes the skin more reactive to the razor. Introduce it slowly, two evenings a week, never on the evening you've shaved, and always use sun protection in the morning. If your skin is already sensitive, peptides and vitamin C deliver slower results but without an adjustment period.
How long does it take to see results?
For brightness and an even skin tone, four to six weeks is generally enough. For firmness and expression lines, two or three months of consistent use are needed because you're working on the renewal of the dermal matrix, which follows its own biological timeline. Anyone evaluating a product after two weeks isn't giving it enough time to do what it was formulated to do.
Why does men's skin seem to age later?
Because it is on average thicker and richer in collagen, and the loss progresses more steadily rather than through the sharp decline associated with menopause. The downside is that, when signs appear, they tend to be deeper and more pronounced, and therefore harder to reduce. This is exactly why prevention is more effective than correction for men's skin.
In conclusion
You don't need to do everything; you need to do the right things well: cleanse your skin gently, support it with targeted ingredients, protect it from the sun, and don't forget the eye area.
You can find LeLang products on the website and in partner pharmacies throughout Italy. An age-supporting routine isn't meant to transform you: it's meant to help your skin look its best.
