L'organic argan oil is obtained from the seeds of Argania spinosa, a tree that grows only in one region of Morocco. It belongs to the family of emollient vegetable oils and is among the most prized because of the difficulty of extraction.
It is composed of approximately 99% fatty acids, especially oleic and linoleic, with a significant amount of vitamin E. Linoleic acid is the building block the skin uses to produce the ceramides of the skin barrier, while vitamin E protects lipids from oxidation: it nourishes and defends using the same raw material.
It improves softness and elasticity and makes the appearance of skin texture more even. Apply it to still-damp skin in the morning or evening; the comforting effect is felt immediately, while softness develops over a couple of weeks.
It is also well tolerated by combination skin, which usually rejects oils: it does not clog pores or leave a greasy feeling, thanks to a fatty acid profile similar to that of the skin's hydrolipidic film. It is one of the few vegetable oils suitable for all skin types.
