The MineraQuint Complex is a combination of five trace elements in fermented form: magnesium, iron, copper, silicon, and zinc. It belongs to the family of bioavailable mineral actives, which are made absorbable by the skin through a biological process rather than being present as simple salts.
Trace elements do not act as direct actives: they are enzymatic cofactors, meaning the molecules without which certain skin enzymes cannot function. Zinc helps regulate sebum, copper is involved in processes concerning supporting fibers such as collagen, magnesium in the cells' energy metabolism, iron in transporting oxygen to tissues, and silicon in the structure of connective tissue. The fermentation binds them to organic molecules and makes them much more compatible with the skin than a mineral in inorganic form.
In LeLang formulas, it appears in cleansing, where it supports the cleansing process by giving something back to the skin instead of merely taking something away. Use morning and evening, massaging onto damp skin before rinsing.
